@thefrenchiegardener 5 Gardening tips to help you grow your own food ๐ฑ๐ 4 years ago, I was just going to a gardening store to buy some random flowers & I ended up buying pots, vegetable seeds & soil, without any gardening knowledge. Best impulse buying choice of my life! But I wish I knew more tips when I started, so here it is for you ๐๐ผ * Follow for more tips on urban gardening. Grow your own food even on your balcony, terrace or Patio! * ๐ชดSoil : Donโt go cheap on soil! Itโs your key to success. Invest in a quality soil right from the start. Feel free to ask me in comments soil that I would recommend. ๐ฑ Start with heirloom seeds and forget hybrid F1 seeds. You will have access to so many amazing ancient varieties & you can repeoduce seeds for free. Your plants will be even more adapted to your growing conditions & climate! ๐ Planting : Donโt make the mistake to put several plants in the same pot. One healthy plant is way better than two which wonโt grow healthily. Give room to Nature! โป๏ธ Fertilise your soil : It will lose its nutrients in around 6-8 weeks. Bring back nutrients with compost (I use a bokashi compost) & other natural resources such as leaves and coffee grounds. ๐บ Plant flowers! It was a huge learning for me. More flowers mean biodiversity & more pollination on your vegetable plants. They need this necessary pollination from bees to grow fruits & vegetables. Itโs also a wonder for the eyes! If you learnt something with this Reel, please share it into your stories to support me & to educate others! Happy Growing & Green Love to you ๐ #gardeningtips #urbanjungle #plants #potager #gardeninspiration

The Importance of Green Spaces in Urban Areas
As cities expand, the need for green spaces becomes increasingly vital. Urban gardens play a crucial role in improving air quality, reducing urban heat islands, and supporting biodiversity. The benefits extend beyond aesthetics, contributing to community well-being and local food security. City planners are now recognizing the importance of incorporating green areas into their designs, showcasing rooftops adorned with gardens and walls covered in vegetation.
Choosing the Right Plants for Your Garden
